"A Wonderful Opportunity for filmmakers of all ages." - Dick Smothers (Comedy Icon)
THE GOAL: WRITE, SHOOT AND EDIT A SHORT FILM IN 48 HOURS:
Shooting Dates: May 18th - 20th 2012!
The 2012 Guerrilla Film Challenge
The Guerrilla Film Challenge is a grueling 2-day endurance event that taps the creative power of filmmakers from around the world for a global contest. In our 2011 event over 150 films were created from 17 countries across 6 continents (What's up Antarctica?)
The winner receives a $5,000 Grand Prize but the real reward comes from proving to yourself that you have what it takes to do what you love.
During the event, student, amateur, first-timers and industry pros compete directly with each other to write, shoot, edit and deliver a short film in under 48 hours.
Teams will have little time for sleep during the duration of the event and must face random challenges to test their mettle. Think of this as the NAVY SEAL 'Hell Week' for Filmmakers - and when it's all said and done, the top films are shown on the big screen in front of a live crowd.
It's anyone's game. The team with a million dollars worth of professional equipment can easily lose to a team of high school kids with a borrowed camera. Originality and creativity are what count.
