Hello Guerrilla Filmmakers,
We’ve got good news and bad news…
First the good news:
Thanks to overwhelming interest in the 48 hour filmmaking format that we’ve championed since 2005, the Guerrilla Film Challenge has grown by leaps and bounds. After our last event, we received an enormous influx of support from sponsors and contestants (that’s you) alike. Because of this, we have an opportunity to grow the organization in new and exciting ways - to take it to a level that until now we could only dream about on paper.
Now the bad news:
The bad news is that there will be no Guerrilla Film Challenge in 2014. In order to accomplish everything we want to see happen we have to re-structure the way things are set up. This is both to support a larger number of teams and to make the support of new sponsors possible. For this reason we’re investing the rest of 2014 into reworking our website interface and database, solidifying partnerships with our new sponsors and preparing for what’s to come.
Now some more good news:
Like an egg implanted deep inside the chest cavity of a stunned human by an alien face hugger, we are simply growing and changing. We will burst out of this chest cavity in 2015 with a bigger, more exciting and toothy film contest for you all.
In the meantime, we aren’t going anywhere. We’re still here to answer your questions and take your feedback. Please don’t hesitate to contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org
